A Message from Truepill CEO, Sid Viswanathan

Truepill Team,

There’s no easy way to say it, today is a tough day at Truepill. We announced the incredibly difficult decision to reduce our workforce, with approximately 15% of employees impacted across the organization.

To say goodbye to colleagues and friends is heartbreaking, and decisions like this are never made lightly. But as we continue to evolve as an organization, and in order to deliver on our ambitious mission to transform consumer healthcare, it’s essential we move forward with clarity, purpose, and a focus on long-term sustainable growth and a path to profitability. We are impacting the health of millions and our mission has never been more vital.

For the past 6 years, we’ve been focused on defining a new category in healthcare and growing top line revenue, while continuing to expand our platform’s capabilities to serve the broader market. While this was the right strategy up through 2021, the markets have shifted and we must adapt. We know that our platform adds tremendous value for our clients and has a differentiated place in the market. It’s essential that we operate with a new level of financial discipline and prioritization, ensuring the longevity of Truepill for both our clients and our teams.

The work we have accomplished to date is hugely impactful — a testament to our entire team. These difficult staffing decisions are not a reflection of the work these individuals did or the products they built. I’m so grateful for their contributions and amazed by their talent and tenacity. We will do everything we can to support them and encourage you to do the same. Reach out, connect on LinkedIn, provide recommendations and introductions. Nothing is more important than doing our best to handle this challenging transition with respect, compassion, and care.

As we go through this experience, I keep thinking about our vision: creating a world where healthcare is accessible and convenient for everyone. This is what drives me and what drives our roadmap going forward. The most influential and innovative healthcare companies look to Truepill, and with focus, rigor, and clear prioritization, I know that we will be the defining consumer healthcare platform. I’m privileged to work alongside such a deeply talented, passionate, and creative team and am confident that together we will make this vision a reality.

But all of that can wait. Right now, take the time to process, and to take care of yourself and your teammates. Your wellbeing is our top priority. Please know that your managers, HR Business Partners, and the entire leadership team are here for you.
